Zebra Stone Tumbled 1.12" x 0.94" x 0.56"

Zebra Stone Tumbled. Location: Kununurra, East Kimberley of Western Australia.  Dimensions: 1.12" x 0.94" x 0.56".

Did You Know: The only known deposits of Zebra Stone in the world have been found near Kununurra in the East Kimberley of Western Australia.  The deposits are found in small reef outcrops of Stratified Claystone or Shale in the Ranford Formation.  The age of Zebra Stone has been placed at 600 millions in the Upper Proterozic Era or Pre-Cambrian period. Zebra Stone is a very attractive, fine rhythmic pattern of red bands or spots contrasting sharply with a white background. The best sites found to date are under Lake Argyle.
