Known in the mineral community as dog-tooth calcite, the name Stellar Beam was coined by Katrina Raphaell. These crystals have the shape of dog’s teeth or more in keeping with their energy, rocket ships. They are classified as scalenohedron and can be single or double terminated. I have also seen these crystals in yellow, red and white. The golden ones most commonly come from the Elmwood Mine in Tennessee (which is now closed) and can have a high translucency. I also have seen some beautiful pieces from Missouri. A rock hound friend of mine found a pocket of Stellar Beams in Montana, a relatively rare locale. These crystals are a richer gold and somewhat less translucent. I was able to purchase much of what he found.
Katrina refers to Stellar Beams as highly evolved crystalline structures whose essence is unified Spirit in matter. Working with the Stellar Beam can assist one in continuously manifesting the Light force in physical life. Sounds like the true creation of heaven on earth to me, and these crystals will generate the courage and strength necessary for this process by assisting in the release of false securities and old patterning. They also enhance one’s vital force. The Stellar Beams are one of the most powerful tools to assist in moving beyond the limited preconceptions of the mind and into the infinite possibilities of Spirit.
I feel somewhat of a different energy from the Montana Stellar Beams compared to other ones that I have worked with. The Montana crystals seem to transform from the inside out, whereas others work in what feels to me like the outside in. The Montana Stellar Beams also have a deep nurturing quality.
I’ll never forget the first time I found a Stellar Beam. First of all, I didn’t know what they were at the time. I walked into a rock shop and instantly attached myself to a yellow crystal that had points on both ends. Upon asking, I found out that the crystal was calcite. I must have been in the rock shop 2 hours, selecting many minerals, but never put the calcite down. A few days later as I was reading Katrina’s book for the first time, I realized what I had discovered!
